ABOUT COACHING

In a world with a short-term, quick fix focus, the need for wise and effective leadership has never been greater, both for our leaders and for the people they lead. To survive and thrive in this environment requires maximizing personal effectiveness while maintaining a grounding and balance in life so that the journey is rich and fulfilling.

Breakthrough Leadership, Inc., provides executive coaching services to both individuals and teams. Our goal is to help our clients identify the barriers that hold them back from reaching their full potential and then help then break through those barriers.

Results include long-term excellent performance and increased competence to stay on track after the coach is gone. Our clients understand themselves better and are freer to express the fullness of who they are, in ways that makes them more effective as leaders and team members. Our methods strengthen mind, body and spirit to develop behaviors that generate both the desired business results and create an intrinsic feeling of health and well being.

In the film "Chariots of Fire", Harold Abrahams was guided toward Olympic gold by Sam Mussabini, his personal coach. Helen Keller's veil of darkness was lifted when Annie Sullivan took on the role of a personal coach, helping her pupil earn a Radcliff diploma and an international following.

In a business world where our supervisors are saddled with a larger and larger pool of direct reports and competition is increasing for the few downsized senior leadership positions, personal growth has become a "do it yourself" process. And while our educational institutions do a good job of exposing us to case study and theory, an instructor with the time to concentrate on your individual needs is an endangered species.

Enter the personal coach.

"Many top-tier executives are relying on coaches. A first-rate executive coach can help executives pinpoint blind spots, alter managerial styles, and keep careers on course". Business Week, 10/13/97

A personal coach is an individual with a unique combination of educational credentials and the wisdom of practical experience. Unlike a supervisor or professor, the coach's primary focus is on one person: You.

Together we will seek to articulate your dreams and build on background, your experience and your current assets to achieve your own personal objectives.
